Bad shop unwilling to take their responsibility for damaging of my car. Damaged my car window regulator when they did safety inspection of my car on Sunday 4/8/18.

My car window of driver side was rolled down by me before the inspection. But it was rolled up but not all the way up by them after the inspection. They tried but failed to roll the window up completely after I reported to them. I talked to them that I had rolled the window up and down for a couple of times after I drove in the shop and the window worked very well before the inspection.

Had the window checked by the Sears Auto Center immediately and was told that the window track might have been broken. Then I filed a claim with them. Next Monday (4/9/18), they said they had a video to show me that they did not do it when I called the claim department. I went to meet the managers Bryan and David in the shop next Tuesday (4/10/18).

They showed me an unclear video without displaying anything about my car. After our discussion on the details of what happened on 4/8, they said they would consider to check the window by their in-house tech or pay the loss. However, the adjuster Shawn K. did not acknowledge that they damaged my car and expressed not willing to take the responsibility when I called in again.

Finally I had to had the window regulator replaced with my own expense. I have been using their services of oil change and safety inspection for three of my cars for about 6 years.

This is the first time when I got a problem with them. I decided that I would never ever go to this shop in bad faith for any of my cars again.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Damaged my vehicle.
