I went to Delta Sonic in Downers Grove on October 8th, it was around 7:30pm. While in the wash, I was dozing off and then was startled by something hitting my drivers side and passengers side.

As I drove out of the wash, my drivers side mirror cover fell off and my passengers side mirror was loose and falling off. As it was a slow day because of the rain and late in the evening everyone was just standing around. As I got out of my vehicle to see the damages, a young manager (Carlos) came running toward me with a clip board. I was rushed in writing my damages.

I asked for a copy of my claim as the Manager (Carlos) needed my clip board to write my VIN#, etc. I was not finished writing my claim and Carlos the Manager on October 8th, 2017, around 7:30pm said he would put everything in the claim and send it in and handed me something that looked like a luggage claim tag they give you at the airport. I told Carlos that I would like a copy of the claim as I am entitled to it and I wanted to make sure that all of the information was put in as promised. Carlos from the Downers Grove Delta Sonic made an excuse and refused to give me copies of anything and did not let me finish my claim.

A week later I contacted the "generic" KISS phone number and spoke with the claims department. The lady was very nice and helpful (Debbie), I explained what had happened and (Debbie) of the claims department said that they sent me a letter admitting liability and were going to fix my Drivers side mirror cover. I then told Debbie of the claims department at Delta Sonic that I did not get to finish my claim report, that the evening manager at the Downers Grove Wash refused to give me my clip board back or furnish me with a copy of my claim as the passenger side mirror was also damaged, and falling off. Debbie from the claims Department at Delta Sonic instructed me to return to the Downers Grove, Delta Sonic and tell them to submit another claim, take photos, etc..

I then asked her "WHO" do I speak with about the way I was treated, not letting me finish writing claim, not furnishing me with a copy of my claim, etc. Debbie said she would transfer me to "Customer Service". I spoke with "Nick" from customer server who basically (Understand and Remember, that they tell you that ALL PHONE CALLS ARE RECORDED") So, I spoke with "Nick" in Customer Service who told me (It is recorded!) that I would be meeting with a District Manager between 10am and 11am on Wednesday, October 25th. I asked "Nick", (What is the name of the District Manager I would be meeting with), "Nick" from customer service said "the District Manager would be Chris B", and that "Chris B, District manager can help me out more then he "Nick" can.

I kept my appointment and arrived at the Delta Sonic in Downers Grove, IL at 10:30am. No one new why I was there! A young manager named Jerry was confused and called the claims department and spoke with "Debbie". Jerry, the young Manager at the Delta Car Wash in Downers Grove, IL, was told to submit another claim and attach it to the former claim.

Jerry, the young manager was respectful and gave me the clip board so, I can finish my claim I was not allowed to when the evening manager, "Carlos" took my clipboard away to write the VIN# down and refused to return it to me, to allow me to finish my claim! I opted to sit in my car to fill out the paperwork when suddenly an older man came out and started speaking to "Jerry", who was doing his job as instructed by Debbie from the Claims Department. This Older gentleman, mid 40's, started saying disrespectful things about me in Spanish to the younger manager (around 20yrs old). I do not look hispanic, but, I am Spanish and I understood every rude, disrespectful word from this "Louis", who had no business even being involved!

I called and was on the phone with Debbie from Claims with the doors locked the whole time! I was not going to let this Louis, late to mid 40's Car Wash Manager, get the best of me! As I left, I thanked them in Spanish and told them to have a nice day. They were very surprised is the best way to put it and the younger manager, Jerry, who was trying to do his job as instructed by claims, who only listened was embarrased, and his face turned red that I understood every disrespectful word this car wash manager Louis in his late 40's had said..

Also, this Louis told the younger manager to put his name on my claim which he nothing to do with! Needless to say, my passenger side, that was dented, damaged and falling off, was DENIED! I spoke to Sean in the Claims Department, who was very rude. He said that HE was the Claims Adjuster for my claim and just viewed the surveillance video (I did not believe a word Sean from Claims said) and is claiming that it was it was damaged prior to the wash!

I just had my car re-painted, etc., and there were no prior dents to the passenger side mirror! I asked Sean in Claims if I could view the surveillance video (there's nothing to hide, right?) Sean from Claim at Delta Sonic refused. I told Sean that whomever is maintaining the equipment is not doing his job and it was the negligence of Delta Sonic of not maintaining there equipment properly that damaged my Driver's side mirror, as they viewed the surveillance and admitted liability. The arms that "close in" on each side of the vehicle to scrub "where" the rear view mirrors are located, close in simultaneously and were not adjusted properly so, they ended up slamming into both sides of my car damaging both rear view mirrors.

Sean hung up on me! I phoned back and they located me and he said "I hung up on him!" I mentioned that I was a paralegal and pre-law and I know my rights. He laughed and offered me 150.00 in coupons for free car washes! Then he said since they admitted liability to ONLY the DRIVERS side mirror, that I should make an appointment so they can fix the Drivers side rear view mirror and paint it!

I told Sean in Claims that I was not interested in his car wash coupons and I am not interested in letting Delta Sonic touch my car! I asked him just to cut me a check for the damages on the Drivers side mirror. Sean again laughed and refused and said that "they do not work like that!" I then said (If you claim to be the adjuster for my claim, I have a right to at least know the estimate he came up with to fix an older BMW rear view mirror (back cover) and paint it? Again, he refused to give me any amount and told me just to get estimates but, the adjuster already knows how much it would cost to repair!

I then caught him on another lie! But, I thought you were the adjuster "Sean in Claims"? I need to know a number $, an amount to work with to get the mirror fixed myself. Again, he laughed and would not answer my question "what the adjuster thinks it would cost to fix" and said they would pay the repair shop directly but, if it's over the "SECRET" undisclosed amount they deem fit to fix a rear view mirror of a BMW, they will refuse to pay the body shop!

I have been trying to reach a District Manager/Supervisor, etc., and all I've been getting is disrespected, lied to, and trying to force me to bring my car to Delta Sonic to repair my rear view mirror, Drivers side! (In my opinion, I have heard that they collect damaged parts of vehicles that have been damaged by their washes so, it would be free at no cost for them to fix my rear view mirror! That is my opinion and what I have heard!) Sean and the claims department is pretty much strong arming me to trust them and let them fix my car that they damaged and have been so rude during this process! I don't think so!

Please, if someone knows how to get in contact with a District Manager/Supervisor, etc., for the Midwest region of Delta Sonic, Downers Grove, IL, it would be very much appreciated (and good Karma : ) I have seen that I am not the only "victim" , and there have been many complaints of damaged vehicles an people mistreated in such a frustrating time.. Again, thank you and please inspect your vehicle if you go to a Delta Sonic Car Wash, especially the one in Downers Grove, IL, before you go through the wash and after. I wish I had someone there with me when this happened.. Ugh!

I'm wondering if the District Managers and owners even know that this has been going on for years since, they are hiding the District Managers/Supervisors from me getting in contact with them.. xoxo

I am dealing with a claim with delta sonic breaking my rear view mirror. My car notified me of the damage as I was leaving the car wash.

I immediately stopped and spoke to a manager. I also filled out there extremely brief claim form and received a ticket with the claims number.

I called to follow up on my claim after not hearing from them and they are denying the claim. I told them that my attorney will be in touch but in the meantime, I have a broken tail light!

I had hand wax at detail shop of another Delta Sonic in Illinois. They did almost 2,000 worth of damages to the paint of my car.

They are not willing to admit they did anything wrong. Never will return to Delta Sonic
